Last Thursday marked an incredible evening celebrating the private reopening of the newly-refurbished Zaha Hadid Foundation at 10 Bowling Green Lane—Zaha Hadid’s former HQ—leading up to the anniversary of her birthday!

Studio KA has undertaken a sensitive refurbishment of the ground floor of 10 Bowling Green Lane, a Grade II-listed schoolhouse built in the early 1870s, that included restoring some of the building’s original features while opening up and reconfiguring its spaces to include galleries, a learning space, lecture hall and collection display, alongside other spaces, where we will host a year-round public programme of exhibitions, talks and workshops.

Two new exhibitions were opened, including Zaha Hadid: Architecture of Performance and LionHeart: The Rebar Beneath, and a new timeline visualisation, commissioned by the Zaha Hadid Foundation, by Mona Chalabi.

The reopening was then marked by 89° of Zaha Hadid, a two-day symposium on 30 and 31 October 2026 (the latter being what would have been Zaha’s 76th birthday) organised by the Zaha Hadid Foundation in collaboration with the Architectural Association and Serpentine.

It was wonderful to see many familiar and new faces gathered together in our space over the weekend of celebrations.
