89 Degrees of Zaha Hadid, our 2-day Symposium—in collaboration with the Architectural Association and Serpentine—was a historic moment in the 10th anniversary year of Zaha’s passing, and on what would have been her 76th birthday.
Curated by Aric Chen, Jihane Dyer and Francesco Fiammenghi (Zaha Hadid Foundation), Shumon Basar (Architectural Association) and Hans Ulrich Obrist (Serpentine), this special event brought together over 40 scholars, collaborators and friends over eight sessions to chart the worlds that made Zaha, the worlds that spun in her inimitable orbit, and the worlds that continue to emerge from her legacy.
Beginning at the AA, followed by 10 Bowling Green Lane and culminating at the Serpentine North—the thoughts and conversations over these two memorable days highlighted the inexhaustible and multifaceted trajectory of Zaha's life, work and legacy.
