Architects Talks: Hamza Shaikh

ZHF will host an interactive and thought-provoking talk with Hamza Shaikh on Thursday 24 October 2024 from 18:30-19:30 as part of our Architects Talks series for Zaha Hadid: Paper Museums. The talk will deep dive into the topic of Image Generation – The Power & Risk of Generative AI Technology. It will explore the evolution of design technology from a historical viewpoint and how diffusion models today are unlocking new creative paradigms. Shaikh will also share his research and findings on the future of generative design workflows and how architects’ roles might evolve. 

Hamza Shaikh is an artist, architect and writer, working in the architecture industry to help develop ‘human-first’ generative AI design solutions. He is the author of the best-selling RIBA published book Drawing Attention – Architecture in the Age of Social Media. He was also the lead curator for the acclaimed exhibition Vanishing Points – Architectural Imagination in the Digital Universe at the Roca Gallery, London, displaying seminal historical illustrations alongside contemporary ‘viral’ works. In 2023, he was awarded the RIBAJ Rising Star for his leadership in the intersection of social media, AI and architecture.
