Yale School of Architecture returns for LondonCALLING 2026

Since 2023 the summer course has been based at the Zaha Hadid Foundation’s home at 10 Bowling Green Lane. It equips young architects with an interest in museums, archives and cultural venues with the skills to develop competition-winning ideas and to navigate the collaborative processes behind ambitious cultural projects.

This year’s participants were tasked with rethinking the design of the Shuttleworth Collection. They explored the Foundation’s Collections at Shad Thames and visited other cultural institutions including the V&A, the National Trust and Heatherwick Studio, gathering ideas that culminated in a final exhibition presented to the Shuttleworth team in the gallery space at Bowling Green Lane.

Zaha Hadid had a longstanding relationship with Yale University. She held the Eero Saarinen Visiting Professor of Architectural Design at the Yale School of Architecture in the spring of 2000 and 2002, leading advanced design studios and teaching master classes, and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts degree in 2006.

The course continues the Foundation’s commitment to supporting emerging talent and fostering international exchange in architectural education.
